The Bursary Programme

The past few years have compelled us all to re-think how we function within our world. The worldwide pandemic and other events have impacted our lives on a global scale, and ushered in changes happening at lightning speed.  Change introduces evolution that will ultimately impact us fundamentally.

We now have magnificent opportunities to re-skill, up-skill and out-skill ourselves to keep pace with the "new normal", and Nedbank Namibia therefore invites young Namibians to apply for one of our undergraduate and postgraduate tertiary education bursaries for the year 2023.

Bursaries Requirements:

Bursaries are awarded to successful applicants, selected on merit, who wish to study on a full-time or part-time basis for a first-time Undergraduate Degree, subsequent Postgraduate Degree or Diploma (including B-Tech), at an accredited Higher Institution of Learning in the fields listed below:

• Data Science/ Data Analytics/ Data Mining
• Robotics & Artificial Intelligence
• Development (Digital Solutions & Apps)
• Process Engineering
• Cyber Security
• Treasury - Financial Markets
• Investment Banking
• Compliance
• Digital Forensics
• Anti-Money Laundering
• Environmental Studies
• Risk Management (Financial & Non-Financial)
• Financial Planning
• Digital Marketing

Eligibility to apply for a bursary

• Namibian Citizenship
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Provisional admission letter from a recognised Tertiary Institution
• Academic progress report if already a Tertiary student, average 65% in the latest examinations (mid-year)
